Lovers In Paris || Sohma-of-the-first-year
head-ofthe-sohmas:
Akito sat back in the car seat, with his arms tightly folded across his chest and one leg over the other. His eyes gazed out the window, watching the small shops fade from his sight as his car drove passed them. The god was many things, aside from being a ‘sociopath’ - as Ren would call him-, he was also quite impulsive. Hatori once said he was as ‘impulsive as a dog’, normally the ill-tempered god would have had a violent outburst but surprisingly enough, Akito found something endearing about that remark. Even, he, too had to admit that was true.
Akito looked down at the two tickets resting on his knees. He didn’t really think this through, nor did he ask his lover about it. But he booked two tickets for Yuki and himself on a one week holiday in Paris. For a matter of fact, he literally booked it this morning right after Yuki left for school. He was reading one of his favourite books by Charles Dickens; A Tale of Two Cities - a story set in London and Paris – when he suddenly had the urge to go to Paris…
The god was pulled out of his pool of thoughts when he felt the vehicle stop. When he looked out the window he realize they had arrived outside Yuki’s school. He didn’t bother waiting for the driver to open his door, instead he opened it himself and gracefully stepped out. He looked up at the large building before him while narrowing his eyes at the bright sun as he pushed a strand of his long black hair behind his ear. The school grounds looked empty, he assumed he arrived earlier than expected and by looking down at his watch, this suspicion was proven to be right. He had maybe more or less than 20 minutes before the bell tolls as a signal to end the day. Sliding his sunglasses on, the god leaned against the roll royce as he ‘patiently’ waited for his younger cousin/lover.
‘Dung Dung’
The bell chimed loudly throughout the school, awakening the sleeping building and pulling all of the student’s out of their auto-piloted lives at school and back into the reality of the outside world. Energy filled the halls as doors burst open and students filed out from their classrooms excitedly. It was the weekend and that Saturday was free from having to come back for that extra hour or so at school.
“Come on, you stupid rat! You promised!”
“I promised nothing; you were the one running your mouth. As usual.”
“THE HELL DID YOU SAY?!”
And as usual, nothing seemed to have changed much in the “outside world” for the members of the Zodiac.
“Ngh, Kyo! Be careful.” Tohru’s voice rang softly and hesitantly as she reached a hand out to warn him as he walked along, keeping his almond shaded eyes on Yuki. Yuki continued to ignore him.
“NO! He’s the one who needs to be careful!” Just as he yelled it out, Kyo ran straight into the emergency fire-extinguisher’s case that stood out from the wall, stopping him in his tracks.
“Stupid cat.” Yuki sighed out as he kept walking. All of their voices soon faded into the thrum that was all around Yuki as he walked down the hall with his messenger bag slung over his shoulder. He made sure to dodge the crowd accordingly, just missing a few girls and making sure he only walked surrounded by boys.
Of course, to his chagrin, a few boys asked him how he could look so pretty; almost like a girl, they said. Yuki simply ignored them and held his tongue until he made it safely out of the school where the crowd finally began to dissipate and spread out along the campus grounds.
Voices began to rise again near the end of the drive. ‘Ooo’s’ and ‘Ahhh’s’ caught Yuki’s attention and being the Rat of the Zodiac, he couldn’t help but be curious and check to see what the excitement was all about himself.
He found himself a spot on the out-skirts of the crowd but he found himself being pushed up to the front as people moved until he came face to face with the head of his family and his lover, Akito.
Yuki’s mauve eyes widened and then embarrassment swept through him. “What are you doing here?” He asked in his soft and smooth voice. One boy beside him gasped and asked ‘You know this guy?’ And Yuki was sure that was the question on everyone else’s mind as well.
